Egyptian Wedding Package
An Egyptian wedding calls for a Zeffa, the traditional procession that leads the bride and groom into their celebration. Lorenda opens the Zeffa balancing a Shamadan (Candelabra) on her head, playing Sagat (finger cymbals), and dancing the couple through their guests. Drummers can follow along to lift the energy of the room even higher.
If you simply want a grand, unforgettable entrance to your guests, this is a moment that turns a wedding into a story people tell for years.

FAQ
Do you do Persian or Egyptian weddings?
Yes. Lorenda has dedicated packages for both, including Egyptian zeffa (wedding procession with candelabra on head and sword balancing), Persian ceremonial entrances, and Turkish/Moroccan cultural traditions. These are some of her most-requested wedding services.
What's a zeffa procession?
A traditional Egyptian wedding entrance where the bride and groom are announced into the reception hall by the performer (Lorenda) with music, zaghareet, candelabra, and often sword balancing. It sets the tone for the entire reception.
Can you combine fire and belly dance for the reception?
The Fire + Belly Dance Combo is one of our most popular wedding packages. Lorenda performs a belly dance set, then transitions into a fire show as the evening peaks. Venue must allow fire, we'll verify with your coordinator.
Does the venue need to approve fire in advance?
Yes. Venues need to sign off on fire performances. We provide your venue with our $1M insurance certificate, NFPA 160 compliance documentation, and safety plan. Lorenda handles the entire back-and-forth so you don't have to.
When during the wedding is the best time for a performance?
It depends on the energy you want, zeffa processions go at the reception entrance, main belly dance sets at cocktail or after dinner, fire shows at evening's peak (after sunset). Lorenda will suggest timing during your consultation.
Can we add a lesson for the guests?
Yes. A short interactive belly dance lesson for guests (coin belts provided) is a hit at hen parties and is sometimes added to the reception as an ice-breaker. Ask about the Dance + Lesson combo.
